47 Weeks Old (+1 day)

Well, this week didn't let up much for me at work. We did a show on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday this week. It is so nice to be able to sit on the couch this weekend and take it easy, well it would be if I would have been able to do that! Max is getting back into his routine. We've had a couple of rougher nights this week, but hopefully that will all pass by. He's such a cutie. I just can't get enough of him. He is running everywhere! He had a fun time chasing me around the living room yesterday. I am so proud of him! We have had to make the kitchen cabinets off limits. He loves being in the kitchen and pulling everything out of cabinets and drawers. I put stuff in the bottom drawer for him and of course, he pulls everything out of all of the other ones. I am constantly tripping over bowls, steamers, straws and whatever else he pulls out when I am cooking dinner. I wouldn't trade it for anything though! He is such a happy boy!
We found out this week that he and two of his friends at school are going to move up into the next room (Mobile Infant Room) at the beginning of November. I am very excited that Max's favorite teacher, Ms. Bridgette is going to move up with him. Apparently, they took him into the room on Friday to see how he would do and he loved it. I'm glad that he will be around other kids that are moving about and have a more structured routine. I can't believe how much he is growing. I'm sure he will be waking up from his nap any moment now, so I'm going to wrap this up and get some pictures up here. I need to get better at getting pictures taken. These past two weeks have just been a little tough. We didn't get pictures this week, but on Saturday some friends came over and we got a few!

46 Weeks Old

We only got pictures taken on Friday this week. Things have been crazy getting back into the swing of things after vacation. Max is doing well. Mommy is working a lot. Daddy is keeping it all together for us! Hopefully, there will be more time next week to update on all of the fun things Max has been doing. But, for now, have a laugh at Max enjoying his taco meat!

45 Weeks Old

What a wonderful week! Max, Eric and I had a fun time in Texas. This week started off and we were still in Port A. Max was not a huge fan of the beach, but it was so windy that it was pretty tough. He was a trooper though. He liked playing in the water and sand and tried to eat it all up! He REALLY liked the pool though. He had so much fun in his floaty that Aunt Mary borrowed for him and he even enjoyed getting out of it and swimming around with Mommy! On Sunday, we had some sand castle building lessons. It was really interesting and Wyatt seemed to have tons of fun with the guy. His tower did look better than mine, but apparently, I was not pancaking the correct way...I was jiggling too much! :) On Monday, the rain came. We were expecting it, so we stayed in, put together some puzzles, read, napped and played a little bit of Wii. By the afternoon, it had cleared up and Wyatt and Cora were in their bathing suits and wanting to go down to the beach. Max was napping, so we stayed in the condo and waited until they came up and we met them at the pool. We had so much fun. Everyone had left that day, so we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. Doug and Dad were throwing Wyatt and Cora in the pool. They would get them so high. Cora loved it and she would come up out of the water and give two thumbs up. On Monday night, we were able to go out to dinner and got back just in time for that tropical storm to blow through the island. It was storming so bad! The next morning was so windy, that we just packed up and headed home. No pool that morning for us. On our way back to Victoria, we stopped in Refugio and saw Mama (my dad's mother). It was nice to see her and visit for awhile.
The rest of the week was nice. We didn't do too much, but we got to visit with some people and see some family. On Thursday, Eric and I left Max with Grandma and we went to Sugarland for the day to do some shopping and have lunch. It was nice to have a 'date' together. On Friday, we got together with my mom's family to celebrate our soon to be newest addition to the family. My cousin Ryan and his wife Catherine are expecting a little boy at the beginning of October. It was great to be around the family and I am so excited for Ryan and Catherine. I can't wait to see pictures of their little guy and hear about all of their fun adventures of being parents! Max had a good time playing with Tavin (my cousin's little boy) they are just a few months apart and they were so cute. They are both quite flirty...must be something in that Fossati blood! :)
Max continues to walk around everywhere. It is crazy how good he is getting. He loves it and pretty soon, he is going to be running! We are still dealing with the biting situation. Not sure what is going to come of it, but Max just thinks it's funny.
For now, we are looking forward to just being back home and getting back into our routine. There are so many wonderful pictures from our vacation, so I will do a few extra posts with just beach pictures!

Hi, Daddy!

44 Weeks Old

So this blog is a few days overdue, but we have been a bit busy. Last Wednesday, Eric, Max and I embarked on our first airplane trip as a family. Max did great. He woke up at 4:00 in the morning, just in time to leave for the airport and stayed awake until we took off in the airplane. I guess there was just too much going on for him to look at. He did great on the first flight. He had a bottle when we took off and I think he was asleep by the time the plane was in the air. He slept for most of the flight. I handed him off to Eric at one point and he woke up then. We only had about 15-20 mintues left in the flight. He was able to get down and do a little bit of exploring in the DFW airport and enjoyed a few bites of donut before it was time to get on our second flight. It was a pretty packed flight. He did ok that one, but he didn't have enough milk in his bottle and he sucked it down so fast. He stayed awake during the flight...it was a short one...and was pretty good. He got a little fussy, but his tupperware container with his cheerios in it kept him pretty entertained. Then, we got to see Papa and Grandma...boy, were they excited! We had lunch in Austin with my oldest friend, Margo at Chuy's. It was so great to see her again and enjoy some shrimp baja tacos. Then, we were off to Victoria. Max did not enjoy having to get back into the car seat again. He screamed for a long time and we were finally able to get him to calm down and go to sleep...just in time to stop at Buccee's! I thought we would be okay staying in the truck and letting him sleep, but of course, he woke up and started screaming, so we got out and walked around for awhile. Then, it was the same routine again. We finally got to Victoria and he had a great time messing up Grandma's living room! He got to see his Aunt Mary, Uncle Doug and cousins Wyatt and Cora. Everyone was very excited to see him. The past few days have been a blur. We had Thursday in Victoria and on Friday, we packed up and headed down to Port A for a long weekend. We are still here now, so I am just going to post a few pictures and then more details of our trip on this week's blog. We are enjoying our time here and I feel like it's going by too fast!
