Well...I should have the picture of Max in the little devil cap on this week's post. He has become somewhat of a little baby vampire, biting on Mommy. It seems to be only me that he likes to chomp on and he bites down so hard that I have a few bruises as evidence. Luckily, there is no issue with him chomping on any of the other kids at daycare. I'm hoping this is just a phase and he will get over it before it turns into more of a problem...here's hoping!
Max has had a lot of fun this week standing up and seeing how many steps he can take at a time. He is starting to get that Franken-Baby stance. It reminds me of when Wyatt first started walking. Max even has the same droopy diaper! I tried to find a picture of Wyatt for another side-by-side, but of course, I can't find my cd. No doubt that within 5 minutes of posting this, I will find it...oh well!
Max is constantly amazing me every day. I've never felt this much pride before. He's my little man. He is loving going after the cats. He's getting better at 'sneaking up' on them. He has learned that if he doesn't laugh real loud and goes slow, that he can usually get to them and pounce on them before they run away. The cats are pretty good. They will just lie there until he releases them and they jump up somewhere that he can't reach them.
He has become a master at making a mess. I have to pick up his small toys each nigh so that Berkeley won't drag them here, there and yon. She loves bringing his toys upstairs or taking them down to the basement. Max totally enjoys getting all of his toys out in the morning and just dumping the ice cream bucket out on the floor. He still loves to dance at his table. He has become quite good at playing his alligator xylophone. And he loves to bang on things...whether it's the coffee table with his hands or the side of the bath tub with a toy, he is always banging on something. And yes, Dad, I have singing 'babaloo' to him when he does it...he thinks it's pretty funny!
He has graduated from baby pureed food all together. He is completely on solids. He loves bagels, continues to devour peas and has really enjoyed meat and cheese. He has had ham, turkey and chicken. We are going to try some fish this week and see how it goes.
We are all getting ready for our trip. Eric and I have been busy with work lately, so it will feel so nice to get away and just relax and HOPEFULLY, not have to worry about anything! I still have to figure out the packing situation. I sat down and started making a list the other day and Max's list is longer than Eric's and mine put together...crazy how one little person needs so much. Oh well...enjoy the pictures. There were a lot to choose from this week!
