43 Weeks Old

Wow! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was updating this blog! This week has flown by super fast! I have been crazy busy at work, so has Eric and Max just continues to amaze us. He is walking everywhere now. Of course, he only likes to really get going when you are not paying attention, or when he thinks you're not! And apparently, he has been 'spreading the love' around at daycare. Yesterday, his sheet said that he was very affectionate and giving some of the smaller babies hugs. He's such a sweetie! Our director also told me that she is thinking of moving him up to the next room. I have mixed feelings. I'm glad because as she says, he is going to get bored with the other babies in the room where he is now...none of them are moving around very much. But, I look at those other kids and they look so much bigger! He's been sleeping better the past couple of nights, so that's good. What else? He is just a go getter! He hardly ever plays in the living room anymore. His new favorite thing is to take out all of the broken down cardboard boxes out of the recycling bin and push them all over the kitchen. I now kick a tupperware container almost every time I move across the kitchen. He loves that there is a new space to play in. He is also very interested in watching the cats disappear through the kitty door going down into the basement. I'm worried he is a little too interested. He has actually pushed the door open with his hand and I keep telling him it's not a door for Max to go through. But, we keep a close eye on him. He is eating more and more every day! We had a play date this week with one of our neighbors and another mommy that was in the same birthing class as us. All of the kids took swimming lessons together at the beginning of the summer. Max had fun at the park...he wasn't sure what to make of the swings, but he enjoyed playing in the grass and trying to eat all of the mulch! The weather has been so nice this week...we've had the house open for the past couple of days and it is amazing. Not sure what we're going to do when we get down to Texas...it's going to be a big change for us.

This was Monday...I have stopped trying to tame the hair!

Watching Berkeley go through the kitty door

TryiCrazy hair!

Just a swingin'...and holding on for dear life!

I just love this picture of him

He was bouncing on the space ship

Trying to hold Ava's hand

Checkin' each other out

Oooooh...grass!

Snack Time!

Sporting his 'Chicks Dig Me' shirt that Grandma sent him

Pulling Daddy's hair

'Sup?

So much for those rubber corners!
He even got to enjoy some Whitey's ice cream at the mall tonight...I like how he kept pushing my arm up when he wanted a bit. There was a hand in the cone at one point. But, other than that he did a great job with not grabbing at it. Even bit off some of the cone when we got down to the bottom!

  1. Mmmmmm ice cream! I think he's trying to make Eric's hair look like his own in that one pic.
