Well, Max let us sleep until 7 this morning. He wasn't so excited about getting up to open presents, he just gets up early every morning. Eric put together his wagon last night from Grandma and Papa and we put some of his presents inside and set up the video camera before we went to bed. Of course, when we came down, Max was more interested in that video camera than anything else. He slowly got into opening presents and we had to take a break to eat some breakfast. The most challenging part was that he wanted to play with each toy as he opened it, so Mommy and Daddy ended up helping. Note to everyone with a one year old at Christmas...bags and tissue paper really work better than wrapped boxes. I was going to just take some pictures and send them off to my parents really quick, but we got some good ones this morning. Max is now enjoying climbing in his wagon and watching the cats play with the plastic covers from his weeble wobble toys. I don't know what we're going to do with all of this new stuff, but I'm sure we'll figure something out.
We have gotten about 8-9 inches of snow in the past 2 days. We haven't been out to take any pictures, but my friend Emily has some beautiful ones tup on their blog. (Emily, I hope you don't mind me linking to your blog)
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope everyone got what they want. I am so happy to have a warm home and a loving family with me today and every day. I am blessed. Love to you all!

Hi Max,
ReplyDeleteWow! you really got some neat toys from Santa. Last time that I wrote to you I told you that Santa was a great guy. Also I like that cool wagon that Grandma and Papa sent to you.
It is 28 degrees here in South Texas this morning. It looks like snow but it is just a very heavy frost.
Hugs from your Texas Friend!
