NOTE: This blog entry was written on Tuesday, Februrary 22, but I had some technical difficulties and couldn't get it posted until tonight! Max went back to school today and has been a pretty happy boy!
I was shocked today at work when I realized that March 1st is next Tuesday! Mainly because my boss is going to be out of town and he asked me to run the production meeting that day, but it seems like we just started February and already we are so near the end. Don't get me wrong...I'm pretty excited. It means we are that much closer to seeing my family over Spring Break. I miss them so much and cannot wait to spend some time with Wyatt and Cora...Grandma and Papa will be kept busy chasing Max around! :)
We had Max's 15 month appointment this month. He was up to 22 pounds and 31 1/4 inches long. So, he gained 2 pounds and grew almost 3 inches. He is still down in the 20th percentile with his weight, but probably because he would rather wear most of his food than eat it. He never stops either. Always looking for something to climb on or a cat to tackle. We have started our time out efforts, we like to call it BABY JAIL! Max doesn't like it. Most of the time he has to serve time for pouncing on the cats or pulling their hair. He is far too rough with them and we are trying to teach him to be gentle and sweet with the kitties. And, the kitties aren't the only ones on the receiving end of Max's aggression. He continues to hit, scratch, bite and pull my hair. It's strange that it is only directed toward me and I REALLY hope this is just a phase. This is a phase that I'm ready to be over with.
But, for every aggressive moment he has more loving moments. He does like to give hugs and kisses. Even though his kisses are full on open mouth and every now and then you get some tongue action in there, they are the sweetest, messiest kisses.
We had some warmer weather last week, so we took Max out for another wagon ride...pictures below. He loved it. Can't wait for it to stay warm and we can do more stuff outside. He likes to explore and run around. I see lots of sunblock and hats in our future this summer! :) The past few days though we have been bound to the house. We were out on Saturday morning and when we got home, Max went down for a nap. Thirty minutes later, he was up and cranky and had 103 fever. We gave him some Tylenol and he and I took a nap on the couch for a few hours. The fever broke and he seemed to be fine until later that night and a little bit of the fever came back. On Sunday morning, we woke up around 5am. Daddy had to work all night on Saturday night and was going to bed around the time that Max woke up. He wasn't feeling well, so we had some water and fell back asleep on the couch until almost 9:30. And that's how it's been the fever coming and going along with a bad rash, head to toe. We went to the doctor Monday morning and he said it is roseola. Unfortunately, the fever can last 3-7 days. We thought we were out of the woods yesterday, but he woke up at 1am with a high fever. So, he stayed home with Daddy today and this evening, he was not feeling well. He is very clingy and just wants to be held. Poor little man. He went to bed about 30 minutes ago and we are hoping for a fever free night.
So, that's what we've been up to the past couple of weeks.
OH, and I have been sewing some more as well. Have made a few purses that have turned out really cute, some messenger bags for Sophie and Ellie and I am currently working on a stroller/messenger bag. It's a really cool bag with an adjustable strap that will wrap around the handles of the stroller or be longer to throw over your shoulder. I'll post pictures when I'm done. For now...here are some pictures of our little man!

| He even tried to clean off his head! Such a silly boy! |
| My 'Make It Monday' project. I wanted a green shirt for St. Patrick's Day. Here is the $3 shirt I got at Wal-Mart with a Hawkeye logo in gold. He can wear it any day of the year! |
