Snow Day!

So, we had our first snow day this week. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning brought a lot of snow and some strong winds! Eric was in St. Louis this week, so Max and I were on our own for this one. I talked to the neighbors and asked if they would watch Max while I tried to snow blow our driveway. Fortunately, we have AWESOME neighbors and Mark took care of our driveway for me. Poor guy was out there for about 3 hours doing our drive and sidewalk, his drive and then the neighbor on the other side of him needed help because his snow blower pooped out. Needless to say, the neighborhood was abuzz with the sound of snow blowers all day long. I don't know how much we got, but one the street was plowed and we dug out of our driveway, it is up to our mailbox. The wind was crazy too so there are some crazy looking snow drifts. It was really cold on Wednesday, but has gotten a little warmer each day. Yesterday and today have been beautiful. Nice, sunny and temperatures in the mid-thirties. We took Max out to go walking and play in the snow and he seemed to have a good time. After about 20 minutes he made his way back up our driveway and into the garage-he was ready to go back inside. He continues to climb and push his boundaries. I'm glad we have a curious little boy, but I wish he would just sometimes slow down for a few minutes here and there.
That's about it for us this week...here are some pictures of our cute little Max!

Max giving me quite the look. He wanted to watch all of the business going on outside.

A boy and his cat.

Look at that crazy hair. No static here, just frizziness!

You can see how the wind blew the snow up in the windows...looked pretty cool!

Max's first snowball!

He had fun mashing it and making it smaller

Crawling around in the shallow snow

C'mon, Daddy

He decided to take a little break and play in the snow

He pulled his glove off trying to wipe the snow off

  1. Hi Max,
Great snow pictures!!! You look like you were having a great time. We didn't have any snow in Victoria but we did have a lot of ice and people in Texas don't know how to drive on ice so there were alot of accidents.
    Huges from your Texas Friend,
    Ann
