Sweet Little Man
So, this morning at daycare, one of Max's teachers told me the cutest story.
They had asked all the parents to send some pictures of the kids with different family members as they are 'studying' families this week. I know...1 year olds studying. But, they work on signs for MOM and DAD, sing songs, read books and look at each others' pictures. Hey, at least there is structure and it's not a free for all play. :)
Anyway, yesterday, they were putting up some pictures along the wall so all of the kids could see them. I had just printed out a few from our vacation in Arkansas and took them up there. The one up here of the 3 of us in one of my favorites and that was one that I chose. So, Max saw it in the stack and insisted on carrying it around pointing and talking to the picture. He finally gave it up to the teacher to add to the wall. The cute part was a little while later, he was over at the wall with one of his friends pointing to his pictures and just talking away. I think he was telling Jordan all about his trip to Arkansas in his own little Max language.
He is getting so big and talking more and more every day. His manners are improving. He says PLEASE without prompt. Of course, sometimes he just can't have what he wants and that's hard to tell him. He is getting better and THANK YOU and they are working on SORRY at school this month. He did offer up a hug to me this morning after he bonked me on the head with something, so I think he is learning.
The kid is crazy. His favorite thing this week is pushing buttons on 2 of his musical books and dancing like a crazy man. It's really funny and the books sound like ice cream trucks. He wants to be outside all of the time and I'm hoping with warmer weather and no rain *fingers crossed* this weekend he will be able to run around to his heart's content.

He is absolutely precious! It is so amazing to watch them learn and grown at that age. :o)

ReplyDeleteWow! you are really growing up fast. It seems like only yesterday that you were a baby and now you are a little boy.
